This site catalgues video and audio lectures on academic topics according to discipline, theoretician and topic.

Most of the material here is from universities or radio stations. Links to various sites from which this material has been culled are availabe under "general sites." There are also some general sites for the specific disciplines listed under those discipline rubrics.

Some of the links are directly to the video or audio data, others are to pages where the data must be sought. Both on this site and on numerous of the linked sites, you'll be well served by using your windows' search function. As always with classifications, there is a certain amount of ambiguity involved. Here, many philosophers of science, for example, are catalogued under "cognition/science." In general, if you don't find an interdisciplinary scholar where you first look, then try another page. To access all of the material available here, you will need an assortment of media players: Real Player, Windows Media Player, and/or Quicktime Player, all of which are legally available free of charge online.  While most of the data are in the form of streams, some download directly to your computer. If you have a slow connection, don't bother with those data. It will take much too long. Under "foreign languages," there are lectures in German and French. Some of the German sites have a mixture of lectures in English and German.
